Artist Statement
I consider myself not just an artist, but also an art researcher. An artist is every bit as qualified to do research as any scientist. The concept of infinity or the unending or the cosmic has always fascinated. Some of my art research is purely abstract which allows me the unlimited freedom of painting any shape, any texture, and any combination of colors anywhere on the canvas. Other research is more rooted in the recognizable with the goal of developing it to it's greatest abstract variety. I will work on a series for several years gradually developing a richer and richer approach, seeing more possibilities. Theoretically, such development could continue forever.
